The past week saw the majority of our girls teams in action at The Go Goodwins Stadium as our U11s, 13s, 15s and 17s all continued with their pre season fixtures.
Tuesday evening saw both our U11s and U13s take to the field with our newly formed U11s taking part in an exciting encounter with Mochdre in a game that ended 5-4 to the visitors with two goals apiece coming Tilly Thomas and Lilly Roberts. Meanwhile the U13s hosted Wrexham based Brickfield and ran out 4-0 victors thanks to goals from Elen Johnson(2), Lacey Jones and Sofia Patel.
It was then the turn of our U7s boys on Thursday evening as they welcomed Mochdre in another fixture that was full of goals, which saw Toby (5), Luca (2), Cassius (2), Alfie and Joseph on scoresheet before the boys then took part in the Flint United Tournament at the Essity Stadium on the Saturday gaining some valuable experience playing against teams further afield.
Saturday provided back to back fixtures as our U15s and 17s girls who welcomed Buckley Town and Chorley respectively.
First up were the U15s who despite going behind went on to record a comfortable 8-2 victory, which included a five goal haul for Faith Jacob and a brace from Meisi Griffiths.
Following on were our U17s against Chorley in what was a competitive encounter that ended 4-2 to the Lancashire based outfit with Anna Carey scoring a twice for the young seasiders.
Sunday then saw the U13s girls back in action as they comprehensively defeated a mix of Buckley Town U13s and 14s 6-1 with Sofia Patel(2), Elen Johnson, Esme Williams, Lacey Jones and Anya Woodyatt providing the goals.
