Our grassroots section kicked off on Friday evening last weekend as our U14s boys enjoyed a Friday night under the lights at The Go Goodwins Stadium overcoming Penrhyn Bay through goals from Reuben Gregson (4), Harry Williams-Adams (4), Cian Shields Owen (2) and Steffan Atenstaedt (2).
The Saturday then saw our U12s boys record a victory over neighbours Llandudno Junction with goals from Charlie Hughes (3), Leo Roberts (2), Parker Berry, Freddie Pritchard and Cai Roberts, while alongside them at The Go Goodwins Stadium our 13s boys comprehensively defeated Llysfaen as Lelan Edwards (4), Jonah Langley (4), Ray Seager (3), Lucas Gately (3), Harri Murphy-Allen (2), John Roberts (2), Max Carey (2) and Tyler Thomas got on the scoresheet.
In close proximity at John Bright also in action were our U13s girls who defeated Llanrwst United in the NWCFA Cup as strikes from Anya Woodyatt (2), Elen Johnson, Esme Williams, Sofia Patel and Lillie Harlin helped them progress to the next round.
On the road there were mixed fortunes for our sides as the U16s boys suffered their first defeat of the season at Mochdre with Charlie Mcilvouge scoring in the 3-1 defeat while the U15s girls edged out Porthmadog in a 5-3 thriller through goals from Lauren Jones (2), Meisi Griffiths (2) and Faith Jacob.
The dayās fixtures were rounded up back at The Go Goodwins Stadium in an early evening kick off as the U15s boys mirrored the U13s girls from earlier in the day with 6-1 win over Llanrwst United thanks to goals from Casey Berry (2), Jack Jenkins (2), James Davies and James Murtagh-Hughes.
The Sunday then saw our mini football teams in action as with Conwy Borough and Colwyn Bay before our U11s girls hosted their NWGFL round robin featuring Rhyl 1879, Llanerchymedd, Llanrwst United and NFA.
